- Some FAQs -
What gear do you use?
I shoot a Nikon D4 and whatever film camera is within reach of me. I tried Canon back in the 5Dii days and it just didn't feel natural to me. Don't get me wrong - the images were stunning and the Canon lenses are some hunky beasts, but it just wasn't my thing. The Nikon always felt better in my hands and I stopped reaching for the Canon, so eBay it was. Feel free to browse the Gear or Packing categories for more information.
How do you edit your photos?
This is a personal preference of mine, but I edit exclusively in Photoshop (CS5, for that matter). It's what I learned on and what I developed my workflow around - check out my travel workflow post for some details. It works for me, it might not work for you... stick with what you know and what's the least work.
I'm just starting off what camera should I buy?
The short answer to this? Buy the camera you'll actually use. If you aren't excited to use the camera, you'll never bring it anywhere and regret buying it. There's no camera to rule them all, there's no singular best camera. It's a tool just as much a paintbrush is a tool for an artist - with the correct knowledge you can make any camera work. Check out my post on essential camera gear for some more information.
What drives you?
Check out my post on sources of inspiration and keeping creativity active. Most of my visual sources of inspiration come from other photographers and travel publications, so feel free to add me on Instagram so I can get inspired by people like you!
